Workshops

Broadway Jazz Series

• Dates/ Time: 7/16, 7/23, 7/30, and 8/6 from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
• Location: Playhouse on Park (Simsbury)
• Registration: Pre-registration is encouraged, or drop in on the night of class.

This Broadway Jazz series is designed for dancers and actors who want to strengthen their musical theatre dance skills. Each 90-minute session focuses on expanding your dance repertoire and technique, exploring iconic Broadway styles (Golden Age, Stylized Theatre Jazz/Fosse, and Contemporary Musical Theatre), and building confidence for auditions. 

Every class features a brand-new combination, so you can attend once or come every week without feeling behind. This format also helps sharpen your ability to pick up choreography quickly, which is key in audition settings. Open to ages 15 and up, all levels are welcome, with modifications offered to support every dancer.

Class structure:

• Technique: Footwork, turning drills, across the floor
• Coordination and balance
• Musicality and Phrasing 
• A new combination every session
